Isolated Handsets
GENERAL
The door entry phone system is designed so that you have a limited time to answer a call and allow the caller access or not. This is to save inconvenience to other users of the system
PRIVACY SWITCH
If you do not wish to be disturbed press the privacy switch (The Red LED will illuminate to remind you that the handset is in privacy mode - ED3, ED4 & ED9 only). When in this mode the call tone is muted until reset by pressing the switch again. On the ED4 & ED9 there is also a built in timer that automatically resets the switch if it has been forgotten. This time period of up to 8 hours is preset on installation. If a longer period is required then press the privacy button twice to restart the timer. If you wish to terminate the privacy period press the privacy button once.
