RH1 & RH3 Handsets
No need to stock a variety of handsets now that Entrotec have developed 2 handsets for all your needs.
RH1
An EA2 with a reversed door status LED for AC systems with positive DS signals (our EA2 is a negative trigger)
RH1 Technical Specification
- DR. A door release button that sends a negative going trigger to the lock circuit for the length of time that the button is pressed.
- VT. 12-volt supply to the handset for LED functions.
- 0v.0v supply to the handset.
- Bz.Call line input to the internal AC/DC buzzer (must be positive going call). This can be reversed for negative call by removal of the piezo sounder from the PCB and connecting the Black wire to the EX connection and the Red wire to the VT connection.
- S2.S2 is the telephone handset microphone connection. This is a 2.5volt circuit at 150 ohms.
- S1.S1 is the telephone handset speaker and is rated at 32 ohms at a ½ watt.
- DS.DS is the telephone handset door status LED and requires a positive going trigger.
- Ex. Ex is the extension sounder or flashing beacon output and is relative to the call tone input i.e. negative or positive with corresponding DC or AC input.
RH3: (Dual call tone features, see Bz).

RH3
An ED3 with reversible door monitoring LED complete with piezo sounder for AC/DC calls and also for call tone generator systems
RH3 Technical Specification
- DR. A door release button that sends a negative going trigger to the lock circuit. This signal has an anti-lockdown circuit which outputs a 500 ms negative going trigger.
- VT. 12-volt supply to the handset for LED functions and the call tone amplifiers.
- 0v.0v supply to the handset.
- Bz. Call to this handset can be either DC call tone geberated by a square wave circuit (as in Entrotec's RDC and Vertex systems etc) Or by using the AC/DC piezo buzzer with a positive going call connected to terminal 12.
- S2. S2 is the telephone handset microphone connection. This is a 2.5volt circuit at 150 ohms.
- S1. S1 is the telephone handset speaker and is rated at 32 ohms at a ½ watt.
- DS. DS is the telephone handset door status LED and requires a negative going trigger.
- Ex. Ex is the extension sounder or flashing beacon output and is relative to the call tone input i.e. negative or positive with corresponding DC or AC input.
